Greetings!

Thank you for visiting my profile at Suite 101. You might have found yourself here because you recently read something I've written and are wondering exactly who is the person behind the words. I'll take a few moments to introduce myself to you and feel free to email me about yourself or if you have any questions.

I've been reading and writting for about as long as I can remember. When I was five I typed out stories for my mother on an old type writer that we got at a garage sell. When I was in the fourth grade I won a writing contest centered around what Christmas was like in Missouri. Between those experiences and my voracious love of reading, I always knew that I wanted to be a writer.

In college I pursued a degree in English Literature and a minor in Technical Communication and jumped out into the working world to see just how hard it was to apply my skills! For a number of years I wrote technical communication documents for companies like Honeywell, Boein, semiconductor companies, parts manufacturers...yes, it was as boring to do as it is to read! But, thanks to the internet, my writing experiences turned around and I learned about web content creation!

For the last 8 years I've been writing all sorts of content for websites and magazines that appears literally all over the world. The topics are varied, everything from weightloss to mental disorders, and every now and then I find myself back in the technical writing trenches, which is okay by me. What I love about writing content for websites and magazines is that with every piece I write comes an opportunity to learn. It keeps me young and feeds my unending curiosity!

As a side note, I've also been in business for myself for over 6 years, running a green cleaning company that helps business and homes clean up their act and learn to recycle. I homeschool my two lovely children and have a children's book coming out early in 2010. I've also taught bellydance for over a decade, am a long-time vegan and I have been married to my highschool sweetheart for nearly 17 years.

So, now that you know so much about me, feel free to drop me a line and let me know about you, about subjects you'd like to see covered and anything else you feel is important
